Robert Bosch Kulturmanager in Mittel- und Osteuropa

Seit August 2002 werden Stipendiaten aus Deutschland als Robert Bosch Kulturmanager an Bildungs- und Kultureinrichtungen in Mittel-, Ost- und Südosteuropa entsandt, um diese bei der Erfüllung ihrer Aufgaben konzeptionell und organisatorisch zu unterstützen. Zugleich vermitteln die Kulturmanager mit innovativen Projekten ein aktuelles Deutschlandbild und werden durch regelmäßige Fortbildungen zu Nachwuchsführungskräften für den internationalen Kulturaustausch qualifiziert.

Die Robert Bosch Stiftung beschreitet mit diesem Programm neue Wege in der Auswärtigen Kulturpolitik. Durch die Förderung von lokalen Initiativen jenseits der Hauptstädte werden nachhaltige Strukturen für die Kulturbeziehungen zwischen Deutschland und seinen Nachbarn in Mittel-, Ost- und Südosteuropa aufgebaut. Im Mittelpunkt steht die von den Kulturmanagern initiierte partnerschaftliche Zusammenarbeit von Künstlern aus Deutschland und den jeweiligen Ländern.

Damit leistet das Programm einen wichtigen Beitrag zur Völkerverständigung in einem zusammenwachsenden Europa. Robert Bosch Kulturmanager ist ein Programm der Robert Bosch Stiftung und wird in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Auswärtigen Amt, dem Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen, dem Goethe-Institut und weiteren Partnern durchgeführt und vom Osteuropazentrum der Universität Hohenheim koordiniert.

Robert Bosch Cultural Managers in Central and Eastern Europe

Since August 2002 scholarship holders from Germany have been sent as Robert Bosch Cultural Managers to educational and cultural institutions in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe to give them conceptual and organisational support in fulfilling their tasks. At the same time cultural managers communicate an up-to-date picture of Germany with the help of innovative projects and are also qualified as junior managers for international cultural exchanges through regular further training.

With this programme the Robert Bosch Stiftung is breaking new ground in foreign cultural and educational policy. Effective structures for the cultural ties between Germany and its neighbours in Central, Eastern and South Eastern Europe are established by promoting local initiatives beyond the capital cities. At the heart of this is the cooperative partnership initiated by the cultural managers between artists from Germany and the respective country.

In this way the programme makes an important contribution to international understanding in a Europe that is growing ever closer together.

The Robert Bosch Cultural Manager Programme of the Robert Bosch Stiftung is run in cooperation with the Foreign Office, the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa), the Goethe Institute and other partners and is coordinated by the Eastern Europe Centre of the University of Hohenheim.
